Job Description

This business is recruiting a Junior Account Manager to work alongside the account management team. They have ambitious plans to continue to grow and need the best candidate to help take the agency forward. You’ll need to be keen, passionate and up for getting stuck in from day one! The perfect candidate for the role will share the agency’s values of transparency and integrity; commitment to producing the very best creative work; and, of course, honesty.They will have an experience of account management and client liaison with a keen eye for detail and strong organisational skills. You’ll be working across a mixture of our PR and social media accounts so experience of working in these areas is vital. Excellent copywriting skills are essential, as is a solid understanding of how to use social media platforms proficiently.We’re looking for a candidate with a willingness to get stuck in along with having plenty of ideas and not being afraid to voice them. This unique role provides the opportunity to be part of a rapidly growing agency. For the right candidate, there are many growth opportunities within this role and it is hoped to evolve into a position of account manager as soon as possible, with training in place from day one to help this happen.As well as looking after a variety of exciting clients (including those in the home and garden sector), work will also include assisting agency development and taking the business to the next level.   • Responsibility for managing clients’ PR and social media accounts. This will be across all stages of activity from strategy, planning and research, to implementing and writing, through to reporting and analysis
  • Providing innovative and creative ideas, as well as strategic advice to clients
  • Identifying target audiences and suggesting the best fit for clients
  • Building relationships with new and existing clients
  • Dealing with the media, speaking to journalists and other members of the press, as well as building relationships with key media contacts
  • Liaising with influencers and bloggers to build relationships on behalf of clients
  • Providing commentary and product or company information to the media
  • Supporting the marketing and development of Honest Communications, including attracting new clients
  • Key responsibilities
  • Managing the needs of the clients and their accounts with a high level of client interaction
  • Contributing to meetings, and liaising and updating clients on PR and social media activities
  • Building client relationships and maintaining a network of contacts including journalists, influencers and industry spokespeople
  • Keeping abreast of current PR, social media and marketing trends and tools
  • Developing news angles stories and pitches to further the client’s profile, products and services
  • Fulfilling the client’s key performance indicators
  • Being involved in pitching for new business and developing PR proposals
  • Championing the agency values and brand

  • An understanding of digital PR
  • High levels of communication and presentation (both verbal and written)

  • Relevant experience
  • 2+ years’ agency experience
  • Evidence of copywriting, content creation, social media management, reporting, account management and client liaison skills
