Job Description

This is a FANTASTIC opportunity to work for a leading banking organization within their Vehicle Hire division. The Internal Account Controller will undertake training from within the business and on the job training from the existing Account Managers with an aim to offer internal support to the field-based team The Internal Account Controllers role is to ensure that the company and its suppliers deliver their contractual promise to its customers throughout the trading period. This would include resolving issues in all areas of the business ensuring that we "Treat customers fairly" and working to the principle "Right FirstTime".Key Responsibilities

  • The Account Controller role is key to the business’ target of +86% customer retention
  • Working with the field-based Account Managers and the CSC team to resolve issues in maintenance, recharges and warranty claims with the customer
  • Working within the Sales Team supporting the Sales Managers securing new and retaining existing customers.
  • Developing working relationships with all departments within the business
  • Communicate clearly with all parts of the business to ensure transparency and accuracy of information, this will include fully utilising the CRM system when implemented.
  • Proactively assist in the coordination of maintenance and repair for our vehicles whilst with their customers.
  • To ensure commercial and contractual control of vehicles contracted to customers and co-ordination of the efforts of all parties involved in the execution of a specified project or range of projects.
  • To act as a contact between the company and its existing and potential customers. This at times can include negotiating terms of an agreement and closing sales, gathering market and customer information;
  • To represent the company at trade exhibitions, events and legislative seminars; To record accurate information
  • Skills and ExperienceEssential
  • Previous knowledge and experience of the commercial vehicle industry is required. A proven track record within Commercial Vehicle Sales / Maintenance / Operations
  • A solid understanding of the Industry from both a customer and compliance point of view Strong interpersonal skills
  • Target driven with numerical ability and good presentation skills.
  • Must be competitive and have a need to win with an ability to think on their feet and deliver solutions. Strong ability to plan and organise.
  • Practical problem-solving ability

  • Experienced in business development and account management within major clients across the public and private sectors
  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in an engineering or business-related field.
