Job Description

The Head of Estates will be responsible for leading on a national property strategy.Client DetailsOur client is a charity.DescriptionThe Head of Estates will lead on a national property strategy and this will include leading on:

  • National portfolio of mixed properties
  • Development of portfolio strategy which include disposals and re-purposing and remodelling of existing sites
  • Capital investment and capital development plans
  • Development of design briefs
  • Building strategic partnerships and relationships with third parties
  • Development of a green strategy for the estate
  • Assisting with the development of an effective procurement strategy for the estate
  • Advising the board on the property strategy and all associated financial matters
ProfileTo be considered for this role applicants will need a relevant qualification to a minimum of HNC level in Building Surveying or Construction and Professional membership of RIBA, RICS, or CIOB.As well as the above qualifications, we are looking for applicants who can demonstrate prior experience of operating at a middle to senior management level position relating to the delivery of an estates strategy. Applicants should be able to demonstrateexperience of general property/estates management experience and have been heavily involved in the delivery of capital investment and capital projects work.The role will require a site presence of at least two days a week in Derby but will require some national travel across the UK so applicants must be able to drive and meet the requirement to work in Derby at least twice a week.Job OfferA salary of up to £70,000 is on offer (DOE) as well as a car allowance of £6,000.
