Job Description Global Head of Electrical ControlsRolls Royce ElectricalFull time UK/Germany/HungaryIn this leadership role, working with our development teams you will oversee and co-ordinate the development of standardised solutions across our programmes and internationally dispersed resources.   • Define the Electrical Controls standardisation strategy and the implementation pathways
  • Lead the evaluation of system technologies and architectures to determine optimal and commercially viable solutions - Develop cross site and cross project relationships and build a leadership network within electrical controls.
  • Ensure Electrical Controls development is strategically aligned across all RRE product programmes and utilises common features and building blocks wherever possible.
  • Work with Product Lead Engineers to ensure standardisation is deployed into product designs and provide key stakeholder technical approval and feedback at programme primary technical gates.

  • Minimum of a bachelors degree in Engineering or equivalent with Chartered Engineer status.
  • Considerable postgraduate product design experience, including product design ownership and leading high-performance, cross discipline teams.
  • Recognised subject matter expert for control system design including electronics and software.
  • Certification experience in safety critical applications and the production of associated technical documents such as: design documentation, procurement & test specifications; performance reports; hazard assessments & FMECAs; product safety case; and certificationartefacts etc.
  • Familiarity with state-of-the art control system development tools.
