Derby, DerbyshireCirca £32,000 per annum Full Time Fixed Term Contract - 37 hours a week until December 2022Brilliant benefits We offer 29 days holiday plus public/bank holidays, flexiblematernity, adoption and paternity packages, pension scheme where we contribute up to 7%, an employee discount portal, on-call allowance and much more.The Mental Health Support Teams are part of an exciting trailblazer project funded by NHS England, Health Education England and partners with the aim of improving the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people in the community in response tothe governments Green Paper for Young Peoples Mental HealthAction for Children have been commissioned by Derby and Derbyshire Clinical Commissioning Group to establish 2 new Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs) and continue the delivery of 4 recently established MHSTs teams across 6 Centres of Excellence untilDecember 2022.MHSTs will provide mental health and emotional wellbeing support to children and young people and their families and carers through schools in the Centre of Excellence areas. Each MHST will support several schools and colleges, covering a population ofaround 8,000 children and young people.The Role:We are looking for qualified Educational Mental Health Practitioner Supervisors (CYP IAPT trained) to join our Mental Health Support teams in The Bemrose school and Noel baker Academy in Derby. As a supervisor you will be responsible for the clinical practiceand supervision of the Educational Mental Health Practitioners, and alongside the service coordinators, building up relationships with the educational settings and communities.You will make a difference by:-Care co-ordinating and managing a defined and complex caseload of children and young people presenting with emotional health and wellbeing difficulties in schools-Co-ordinating and delivering individualised care packages / programmes for children and young people and evaluate these programmes, ensuring high standards of practice in accordance with national guidelines.-Providing clinical supervision to EMHP.-Providing specialist mental health advice, consultation and signposted using an outcome-based triage model, to schools.-Developing training packages or utilise existing training tools to provide training to schools to agreed specification and quality standards.-Actively promoting the whole school-based approach to developing and maintaining emotional health and well-being.-Supervising and mentoring students and less experienced members of the team.-Planning and facilitate appropriate therapeutic intervention including group work for the specialist client group and their families and carers.-Working closely with the school based and community health professionals.-Liaising independently and effectively with external partner agencies, co-ordinating meetings and participating in case discussions between teams involved in the care of children and young people.You will need:-Specialist training in a subject/skill relevant to Child & and Adolescent Mental Health (0-18 years).-PgCert CYP IAPT Clinical Supervision/CPD EMHP Clinical Supervision (or willingness to undertake this as part of role).-Relevant post registration experience in a setting where mental health is the primary focus.-Ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate risk/care plans to meet the needs of children and young people.-Ability to maintain and manage own workload and work autonomously within the specialist area.-Willingness and ability to develop specialist knowledge of clinical aspects of child & adolescent mental health.For more information, please contact Sarah Manderfield on or email:.ukThe way we work:We work to make sure every child and young person has the love, support and opportunity they need to reach their potential.
