Delphi Developer - home based UKWorking from home, our client has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Delphi developer to join their team in a role which will be a mixture of coding and analytical work.We are looking for an analytical developer that is interested in looking at the bigger picture - thinking about the why, the best approach to development, and having an investigative mind. Someone that doesnt just want to code, but who also wants tohave some strategic involvement.Role Purpose:To develop and maintain all Delphi applications in order to enhance existing software functionality whilst ensuring delivery to agreed standards in a timely manner.Key Accountabilities:Take agreed enhancement specifications and update the software to work as required, paying attention to the robustness and performance of any modification and the implications on existing functionality.Consider requests for new functionality and propose solutions to satisfy the requirement without compromising existing functionality.Investigate issues reported with the software to confirm the fault is genuine and subsequently modify the software to rectify the fault.Adhere to relevant coding standards and development processes, including commenting of code changes so the intention can be understood by other developers.Provide outline notes of any modifications made, to aid understanding by QA and Support and to be incorporated into the software documentation.Report progress at regular intervals.Manage time effectively to meet agreed timescales.Education, Qualifications & Experience:(Essential)Experience with writing Object Pascal in the Delphi development environment.A broad understanding of Object-Oriented Programming.Awareness of the importance of UI/UX design.An inquisitive nature and aptitude to become familiar with software functionality.Excellent written English / communication skills.(Highly desirable)Writing and calling both statically and dynamically linked procedures Delphi DLLs.Microsoft SQL Server T-SQL.Agile development methodologies / DevOps practices.To £45,000 + benefits including 10% bonus, BUPA, Generous Pension contribution to 7.5%, 23 days holiday.
