Renowned for our expertise in engineering, materials technology, and IT systems, at the University of Derby, we are setting new standards in the UK for our collaboration with industry and leading the way in global research in future fuels and sustainability.You can be part of shaping the future of the UK nuclear industry and sustaining nuclear capability within the UK’s submarines programme by creating a dedicated pipeline of talent at the start of their careers.As Apprenticeship Workplace Reviewer, you will work with the programme team to lead on facilitating reviews between apprentices and employers and liaising with relevant academic staff. Your engagement with employers and their apprentices is foremost to ensuringour existing and future apprenticeship programmes provide an excellent learning experience and meet employers’ and apprentice expectations in line with the IFA and ESFA governance requirements for apprenticeship provision.You will work collaboratively with both academic staff and apprenticeship account managers to ensure systems and processes are adhered to and that both quality and compliance are maintained to the highest standard in line with service level agreements. Youwill organise visits with external clients, apprentices and internal staff to ensure the implementation of quality reviews and assessment of evidence for audit using an e-portfolio. You will act as a personal professional academic tutor for learners and willneed to engage actively in working with employers to support learners who have disclosed a need for additional support.This role will be located within the exciting University of Derby/Rolls-Royce Nuclear Skills Academy based in Derby, helping to train apprentices to be at the forefront of Nuclear Engineering for the future.This position is full-time for 37 hours per week; however, part-time hours would be considered. The salary range is £29,476 to £32,406 per annum, but for the right candidate, a salary of up to £37,267 per annum can be made on appointment.SkillsTo be successful, you’ll have an HNC/HND in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical & Electronics, or Nuclear Engineering or an equivalent qualification, as well as relevant work experience in the engineering sector. You must also be willing and flexible totravel in a cost-effective and timely manner, as this role will include travelling to employer premises in the UK.BenefitsAs well as competitive pay scales, we offer generous holiday entitlement.
