Job Description

An exciting opportunity to join a world leader of turnkey test solutions for gas turbine engines and engine components. We are recruiting for a Controls & Instrumentation Technician to maintain and troubleshoot systems in Gas Turbine engine testfacilities for a global OEM of Aircraft Engines. Permanent position based in Derby. Control & Instrumentation Support TechnicianResponsibilities of the Control & Instrumentation Support Technician:

  • Handle the day to day requirements of the customer with respect to the supplied system
  • Perform system troubleshooting for software at the application level and hardware to assembly level
  • Perform required system hardware maintenance
  • Perform system calibration
  • Ensure that all system drawings are at the correct revision level and are controlled in accordance with the quality system
  • Ensure that all system wiring is maintained to the correct standard
  • Ensure traceability of the hardware inventory and hardware configuration control
  • Suggest preventative actions, create workarounds and provide solutions to system problems
  • Suggest improvements to products, processes and environmental aspects
  • Comply with company procedures
Qualifications of the Control & Instrumentation Support Technician
  • Engineering Degree or HND in Electrical/Instrumentation Engineering or relevant experience considered
Additional Information of the Control & Instrumentation Support Technician 5-week shift pattern consisting of
  1. a week of nights,
  2. a week of evenings,
  3. a week of days - flexitime
  4. a week of mornings,
  5. a week off and then rotating.
The salary is between 30-36k plus 25% shift allowance - £37,500 - £45,000
