Job Description

The Compliance Manager will be responsible for all technical compliance on-site, food manufacturing experience is required. You will be working closely with customers, managing audits and ensuring full product traceability.Client DetailsOur client are an expanding FMCG business in the Derby area. The company are on a journey of improvement, expansion and are winning new business and introducing new products to their range offered. They can offer career progression.DescriptionThe role will be responsible for:

  • Managing & developing the technical compliance team on site.
  • Ensuring that the business requirements for food safety, integrity, legality and quality are embedded in all aspects of the compliance team.
  • The implementation of systems to ensure that all relevant legislation, customer and group standards are integrated into the sites QMS.
  • Managing the sites internal audit system, traceability requirements, supplier approval, customer portals and finished product specifications.
  • The sites trending and reporting for both customers and the business.
  • Driving a culture of food safety and continuous improvement.
ProfileApplicants should be:
  • Qualified with HACCP Level 3 and Food Safety Level 4.
  • Experienced in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledgeable in Microbiology
  • Previous experience of compliance / systems.
  • Strong understanding of specification approval systems and Legal Label legislation
  • Proven track records of leading audits for a QMS and compliance point of view.
  • A strong understanding of retailer Codes Of Practise.
  • Possessing a great attention to detail and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Proven track record of working in a similar management role.
  • The ability to train, develop and lead a team.
  • Strong communications skills, both written and verbal.
