Summary We protect everything from bats to buildings to beachesand we want to share them with everyone too. But how do we care for our special places, while helping everyone to enjoy them and their fascinating stories Its no small task. In fact, its a bigteam effort and its why ourCollections Assistant are so important.The post is 21.5 hours per week, spread across 4 days (two short days and two longer days), each with an 8am start. The rota pattern currently works on a 3-week rotation and will be different days each week. It includes at least one full weekend shift everythree weeks. Lord Curzons Eastern Museum is a treasure trove of fascinating objects acquired on his travels in Asia and while Viceroyof India.Youll be part of the House and Collections team reporting to the Senior Collections and House Officer. As a Collections Assistant youll work closely with a staff and volunteer team to ensure the highest standards of care for the Hall and its collections. Click here for more information about this location What youll be doing As a Collections Assistant, youll be working with a great housekeeping team in an incredible place, helping with the day-to-day cleaning and care of the collections. No detail will go unnoticed, and youll keep a keen eye on everything from the environmentalconditions in a room, to signs of wear and tear. Youll keep accurate records too.In this visitor facing role, wed love you to talk to visitors about the work youre doing, and the collections we have.
