An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen within the Clinical Research Team at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton (UHDB).We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and creative individual who is looking to further their career and help us develop our research activity. Working as part of proactive Multi-professional Research Team, you will have support and training opportunities to develop your clinical research skills. Clinical research experience will be an advantage.This post will enable an enthusiastic practitioner to gain entry experience in the field of clinical research. They will have opportunity to develop research nursing skills across a broad portfolio of studiesThey will have responsibility for conducting research follow up activity working closely with research participants. There will be opportunity to work across a range of clinical research studies.You will be a motivated, organised Registered Practitioner, with a demonstrable post registration experience.Possession of skills in cannulation, and venepuncture would be desirable. A keen interest in developing skills within Clinical Research is desirable, in addition to excellent communication skills and proficiency in IT skills.Training will be available in this post which will focus on follow up activity working with patients enrolled onto clinical trials, as well as taking responsibility for opening and managing clinical research studies.The post holder will be expected to undertake NIHR Good Clinical Practice training and certification.We can offer a supportive research environment, in a rewarding area of clinical research nursing, supporting varied specialties across the Trust.The post holder will work independently across a number of service departments with guidance from the Lead Clinical Trial Nurses, Senior Clinical Trials Nurses, Research Practitioners as well as Research Nurses and Research Administrative Assistants.This is a full time, 37.5 hours per week role.In return we will offer:
