Job Description

Chartered Civil Design EngineerLocation: Derby, DerbyshireSalary: Very Competitive + Excellent BenefitsMICE or MIStructEOur client specialise in providing civil and structural design services to a wide range of clients operating in different sectors. They are currently seeking a Chartered Senior Civil Design Engineer MICE or MIStructE with experience in designing and managing projects from conception to completion,Their works include: civil and structural design of substations, industrial premises and water treatmentDuties:

  • Providing engineering support and advice including production of design calculations.
  • Designing of steel and concrete structures (BSEN1990-1999)
  • Producing accurate and detailed calculations utilising TEDDS software
  • Working with current National Design Standards and client specifications
  • Project Management and delivery of civil design projects
  • Providing conceptual designs, and detailed designs as well
  • Assessing existing structure condition.
  • Deliver compliant design solutions
Requirements:
  • Must be a Chartered Engineer( already achieved MICE or MIStructE Chartered status)
  • Strong knowledge of design software packages including TSD, TEDDS, connection design software
  • Interaction use of 2D and 3D CAD packages
  • Excellent knowledge of RC & Steel design, and sound analytical skills.
  • Experience in independent checking of calculations and drawings is essential.
  • Knowledge of electrical substation projects is desirable.
