Job Description

Apprenticeship Business Administrator- Fixed-Term

  • Annual Salary: £22,000to £23,700
  • Location: Infinity Park, Derby, DE24

Do you want to work in an innovative, exciting environment Do you have over 2years experience in administrationWe are looking for a Business Administrator to support a collaboration between a world leading business and a local college, in supporting theapprenticeship programmeon an administrative basis. This role is crucial in supporting the delivery of high-qualityapprenticeship programmes and ensuring excellent customer service. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of operational tasks, including documentation for audit purposes, data management, and stakeholder engagement, all while ensuringcontinuous quality improvement and learner success. Day to Day of the role:
  • Coordinate and manage apprenticeship information, ensuring accuracy and compliance for audit purposes.
  • Create and manage apprenticeship records in line with funding agency requirements.
  • Coordinate applications and upload programme information to government sites and internal marketing platforms.
  • Monitor apprentice attendance and manage notification processes.
  • Advise stakeholders on policies, procedures, and quality audit requirements.
  • Develop systems to validate apprentice and employer data for funding claims.
  • Maintain employer engagement activity records.
  • Liaise with exams departments to ensure timely claims for qualifications.
  • Produce reports on MIS data, including starts, leavers, achievements, and success rates.
  • Manage the administration of End Point Assessments.
  • Lead on apprentice and employer survey processes.
  • Act as the lead administrator for e-portfolio systems.
  • Support apprentice and employer events as required.
  • Undertake professional development to maintain compliance with funding agency requirements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Level 3 Business/Administration qualification or experience.
  • GCSE Maths and English at grade C or above (or equivalent).
  • Experience in managing multiple activities/projects to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in data analysis and event organisation.
  • Skilled in note-taking and action setting with agreed timescales.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and database/software functions.
  • Excellent organisational, time management, and prioritisation skills.
  • Methodical work approach with an eye for detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to work flexibly and respond positively to change.
