Job Description

Business Development ManagerDerby£45-60k + performance bonus, car laptop, phoneOverview Are you an ambitious salesperson that embraces a consultative sales process and are innovative in your approach to delivering sales successAre you a team player looking to make your mark in a highly successful business through a collaborative and customer focused approach to salesDo you have several years sales experience in the metal coating business, demonstrating success in developing existing accounts and identifying and opening new opportunitiesThe Business My client is a specialist business in the supply of high-performance coatings supplies. They have been delivering high quality solutions to their customers for over 15 years. Since they were formed their unwavering focus on quality, serviceand cost effectiveness has earned them a reputation for excellence.The Role The Business Development Managers role will be responsible for generating leads and developing opportunities with both existing customers and new clients for the metal coatings division of their business. At the moment their wood coatings are thepredominant part of their business and they are keen to grow their metal coating division from where it is now. Duties will include sales presentations and product demonstrations, as well as negotiating contracts with potential clients.Key Responsibilities:

  • Generating leads
  • Meeting or exceeding sales goals
  • Negotiating contracts with prospective clients
  • Helping to determine pricing schedules for quotes, promotions, and negotiations
  • Preparing and delivering sales presentations
  • Coordinating sales efforts in collaboration with the other divisions of the business
  • Preparing and submitting sales contracts for orders
  • Working in a collaborative way with all areas of the business
Key Skills and Experience
  • A minimum of 3 years of sales success in the metal coatings industry
  • A commitment to outstanding customer service
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Superb interpersonal skills, including the ability to quickly build rapport with both customers
  • Capability to update the businesses social media output would be useful
  • The ability to understand and accurately convey technical specifications
