Job Description

Audit Senior in DerbyOur client has a fantastic opportunity for an Audit Senior to join their busy team in Derby.They are a highly innovative, leading edge firm of accountants and professional advisers.Key responsibilities of the Audit Senior will include:

  • complete audit testing on site at clients premises (when government guidelines allow)
  • apply professional scepticism and judgment to audit work
  • maintain audit quality standards as required by Audit Regulations and TC internal policies
  • pro-active dedication to professional growth through training and experience opportunities
  • deliver excellent client service
  • prepare statutory accounts and draft tax computations
  • management of own work and assignments to deadlines and within budget to identify research and analyse accounting/audit issues and propose solutions
  • work closely with the audit partner and audit manager
  • support the growth of the London office
Candidate ProfileWe are looking for an Audit Senior with the following skills and experience:
  • qualified ACA or ACCA
  • 3-5 years PQE working in an accountancy practice
  • strong client facing audit experience from planning through to completion
  • excellent technical accounting knowledge of UK GAAP and FRS 102
  • experience of statutory accounts software and using audit software - CCH and Xero preferable
  • excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office with intermediate excel skills as a minimum.
  • highly personable with excellent communication skills
  • positive can do attitude
  • must have own car and full driving licence
