Grade/SCP: Leadership grade, points 10 - 14Hours: Full TimeContract: PermanentLocation: Saint Benedict Catholic Voluntary AcademyDuffield Road, Darley Abbey, Derby DE22 1JDStart Date: 1st September 2020Saint Benedict Catholic Voluntary Academy, part of the St Ralph Sherwin Catholic Multi Academy Trust are seeking to appoint an exceptional Assistant Headteacher, supportive of the ethos and vision of Catholic Education. We are looking for an outstanding and inspirational practitioner who will have a considerable and sustained impact on the quality of Teaching and Learning across the academy and the ability to build upon our current developments and achievements. Candidates should have a record of effective leadership and innovation at middle management level and be able to evidence their impact on student achievement.The successful candidate will contribute to school self-evaluation, development, planning and appraisal. We are looking to build the specific areas of leadership responsibility around the skillset of the successful candidate and so would welcome applications from colleagues across the full range of school leadership experience. There will be the requirement to attend Governors meetings and you will be expected to attend major school events and play a full part in ensuring the efficient day-to-day running of the Academy.We are looking for a colleague with the motivation and determination to drive forward school improvement. You must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to influence and motivate all members of our school community.Situated in the beautiful Darley Abbey area on the outskirts of Derby, Saint Benedict is the city’s only Catholic Secondary school.
