Job Description

If this is how you like to work then please read on.Our team are looking for a Trading Analyst.Overview and Team:The Trading Analytics team within commercial finance is a multi-disciplined team working within a wider analytics department across all areas of our business. It offers the opportunity to use different types of analysis for a varied pool of customerswith a mix of ad-hoc analysis and regular reporting.The role is ideal for an analyst looking to expand their experience and to have the opportunity to influence business decisions. The Role:The role is a blend of responsibility for maintaining and refining our regular reporting routines and supporting the wider team by investigating issues and opportunities and proactively identifying new ways of driving value from our data.Our work looks at all aspects of the business including online, trading, supply chain and operations.

  • Support the Trading Strategy through analysing what products our customers buy and what operational considerations we need to make.
  • Combine & analyse large data sets from our operational departments to identify opportunities & trends.
  • Provide and validate information to enable a variety of quick paced and agile business decisions.
  • Proactively create actionable insight across all aspects of the business.
  • Maintain and develop regular reporting routines.
Key Skills and Experience:Technical Analytical tools and methodologies
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office products including a proven track record in using Excel (or similar) to manipulate/interrogate data and present findings in an understandable and engaging way.
  • Awareness of SQL, Python or other relevant methods of data manipulation
  • The ability to gather, interpret and combine large volumes of data from a multitude of sources and formats
Additional Requirements:
  • Demonstrate an awareness of Power BI and VBA and what they can deliver, display a willingness to learn and adapt and have a proven track record in driving your own technical development.
  • The ability to deliver accurate, relevant and timely information based on solid research
