Job Description

A diverse group of people who get stuck in and work together.We are looking for a Floor Planner to join our established Floor Planning team. You will be part of a team of Floor Planning experts, and you will be ultimately responsible for the customer-focussed, profitable & sales-driving deployment of both Macro and Midi space. You will develop a thorough understanding of the factors that affect Macro and Midi space performance both within Iceland and in the broader market. Sales will be the main focus which will be at the centre of any space decision made.Key Accountabilities

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate, influence and build relationships effectively at all levels across the business.
  • Strong personal organisation, self-motivated & ability to work to deadlines and under pressure.
  • Experience of working with data, and the ability to analyse results to make decisions.
  • Experience of managing store layout projects of different size and complexities.
  • Ideally able to undertake macro & midi space analysis to support optimisation of space allocation.
  • Able to present the target store layout/new, refit store layouts to senior management.

  • Able to demonstrate experience with office systems that would benefit the role, excel is essential.
  • Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
  • A flexible approach to the working environment and able to demonstrate the ability to respond to a fast moving, rapidly changing market, and business.
  • Experienced in influencing and communicating at a variety of levels and directions.
  • Preferably 2 years of experience within a retail merchandising environment, and/or 3 years of grocery retail management experience (Senior Supervisor or above)
