Job Description

A diverse group of people who get stuck in and work together.We are looking for a Floor Planner to join our established Floor Planning team. You will be part of a team of Floor Planning experts, and you will be ultimately responsible for the customer-focussed, profitable & sales-driving deploymentof both Macro and Midi space. You will develop a thorough understanding of the factors that affect Macro and Midi space performance both within Iceland and in the broader market. Sales will be the main focus which will be at the centre of any space decisionmade.Key Accountabilities

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate, influence and build relationships effectively at all levels across the business.
  • Strong personal organisation, self-motivated & ability to work to deadlines and under pressure.
  • The ability to interpret and understand data to implement changes that drive sales
  • Experience of implementing and understanding store layout projects of different size and complexities.
  • Able to review sales at a top level, and category level to recommend space allocation that optimises the space and drives sales
  • Able to present the store layouts for new stores & refit stores to key stakeholders, with supported rationale
Key Skills
  • Able to demonstrate experience with office systems that would benefit the role, excel is preferred
  • Able to interpret sales data, make recommendations and present findings in a clear and concise way
  • A flexible approach to the working environment and able to demonstrate the ability to respond to a fast moving, rapidly changing market, and business.
  • Experienced in influencing and communicating at a variety of levels and directions.
  • Preferably 2 years of experience within a retail merchandising environment, and/or 3 years of grocery retail management experience (Senior Supervisor or above)
