About the role <p>We are recruiting forfull and part time Collections Agents/Administrators (known internally as Debt Collector), based at our Deeside site, to proactively chase outstanding debt that is referred to Head Office for collection from branches. In the role youwill also negotiate repayment plans for customers and process payments using a card terminal and allocate said card payments.</p> <p>Whilst its not essential to have experience of legal procedures, part of this role includes liaisingwith our Legal Departmenttoprovide instructions orinformation relating to files referred for Legal Action.</p> <p>Youll also prepare Period End reporting pack for distribution to Operations / Senior Management team as well as prepare and distribute weekly report to Operations/Directorsof branch balances.</p> Role Responsibility <p>Recovering debt using letters, telephone and text</p> <p>Taking decisions as to when to refer to solicitors for legal action</p> <p>Reconciling Bad Debt G/L accounts at period end</p> <p>Providing support and holiday/sickness cover to the Team</p> <p>Handlingcompany and customer queries</p> <p>Providing reports and bad debt figures as required</p> <p>Using own initiative</p> <p>Working as part of a team</p> You will need <p>Experience in Collections</p> <p>Knowledge of Legal procedures (not essential)</p> <p>Ability to work under pressure</p> <p>Excellent communication skills.</p> <p>To be IT literate</p> Whats in it for you <p>At Booker, along with being a great place to work and giving you an opportunity to get on in your career, we also offer the following fantastic package of benefits:</p> <ul> <li>A Booker colleague card with 10% off purchases at Booker and double discountevents up to three times a year.</li> <li>After 3 months service, a Tesco colleague discount card with 10% increasing to 15% off most purchases at Tesco for a 4 day period after every four-weekly pay day, ie. thirteen times a year.
