Job Description

An Excellent opportunity for an Experienced Electrical Contracts Manager to join a well-established company.Position: Full Time.Location: Dawlish, Devon.Salary: Up to £55,000, Negotiable Depending on Experience.Hours: 45 hour per week.Company Vehicle ProvidedAbout The Company:They are a successful and growing commercial and industrial electrical installation contractor based in Devon, operating throughout the UK on a wide variety of projects for many different clients. They are looking for an experienced Electrical ContractsManager, with a particular focus on the delivery of new and refurbished food retail outlets. Candidates should be highly organised, efficient, calm under pressure and client-focussed, with excellent communication skills.The Role:

  • Evaluating, programming and managing workloads, and assigning labour to projects.
  • Reading and understanding drawings, specifications and programmes.
  • Working closely with the Health and Safety Manager to ensure RAMS are adhered to.
  • Communicating and enforcing health and safety requirements on site including site safety audits.
  • Managing costs, including procurement of competitive labour and materials, minimising waste, and capturing contract variations.
  • Looking after teams of engineers and managing multiple sites throughout the UK.
  • Ensuring electrical test certification and O&M manuals are completed to a high standard.
  • Liaising with clients, contractors and consulting engineers and maintaining good working relationships.
  • Carrying out site audits / progress reports and ensuring site progress in line with programme requirements.
  • Ensuring snagging items are dealt with promptly and efficiently.
  • Reporting to senior management.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Relevant industry technical qualifications (18th edition wiring regulations etc.)
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, dedicated and reliable.
  • Excellent man-management skills.
  • Must be prepared to travel to sites and work away when required.
  • It is essential that you are able to work under pressure and to short deadlines.
  • Excellent stable background throughout career.
  • Highly computer literate.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • SMSTS qualification would be an advantage, but not essential.
  • NICEIC qualified supervisor would be an advantage, but not essential.
