A vacancy has arisen in an Ofsted graded GOOD primary school for a qualified teacher with recent experience in upper Key Stage 2.The school is looking to appoint an additional member of staff to deliver core-subject interventions and booster sessions to small groups of children with the aim to close the gap and raise attainment in preparation for the end of Key Stage 2 SATs assessments.Start date: 6th September 2021 End date: 22nd July 2022The position is part-time and the successful candidate will be expected to work 15 hours per week (12:3015:30, MondayFriday).The school is an Ofsted graded GOOD primary school based in Darwen. The school is a smaller than average-sized primary school. The majority of pupils are of White British backgrounds, with an increasing number coming from other backgrounds; most of whomspeak Polish. The proportion of pupils who have special educational needs is above the national average; as is the proportion of disadvantaged pupils within the school. The school is a faith school; candidates do not need to practice the religion however theymust demonstrate acceptance of the schools ethos.The ideal candidate must hold Primary QTS, with recent experience of teaching in upper Key Stage 2.
