Job Description

Serco - Darent Valley HospitalPermanent - Full Time£40,000 - 45,000 pa + Excellent Corporate Benefits PackageSerco delivers all Hard FM services and lifecycle project activity through our PFI contract at Darent Valley Hospital. We have an opportunity for a qualified Water Manager to join our dedicated FM Team, where you will lead and manage team of Water Techniciansto ensure the overall maintenance of the mechanical and electrical services within the hospital.You will hold appropriate qualifications and experience producing Water Risk Assessments, microbiological samplings of domestic systems and servicing of Thermostatic Mixing Vales. Also, you will have a good knowledge and understanding of Building Servicesand proven experience of working in a similar FM environmentyou will be expected to carry out reactive repairs, fault finding, servicing commissioning and maintenance to a wide range of Services, Plant and Equipment within all areas of the Hospital.Your people management skills, comprehensive knowledge and understanding of high-leve; technical systems alongside your excellent communication and customer service skills will ensure delivery of accountabilities including:

  • Ensure the water hygiene team complete all necessary documentation
  • Weekly proactive chase of all CAFM (Concept documentation) to ensure accurate weekly compliance reporting
  • Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with all relevant Serco Policies & Procedures, Workplace Regulations and Best Practice Guidelines
  • Carry out a Technicians duties as required
  • Support on any audits and advise on technical queries using knowledge of legislation, best practice & manufacturers guidance.
  • Attend regular water safety group meetings with trust, client and infection control providing expertise and knowledge on site
  • Provision of PPM compliance data, water testing results, flushing compliance and any other requirement associated with HTM 04-01, ACOP L8 & HSG274
  • Providing Training to other in the organisation around Water management
  • Authorised Person Duties which could include but not limited to Pressure systems, Legionella RP, confined spaces, Ventilation, Medical Gas (All training will be provided)
What youll need to do the roleA specialist role where qualifications are imperativecompletion of a recognised appropriate Engineering or Apprenticeship or other relevant structured Training Program or industry experienceie HNC / HND, NVQ Level 5 or appropriate City & Guilds and/orBTEC certification.You will have proven experience working to ACOP L8, HSG 274 Parts 1, 2 and previous water management experience managing a water hygiene programme.
