Job Description

Freightserve recruitment are looking for a Sea Import Account Manager for a well established Freight Forwarder based in the Dartford area.-

  • Account Manager Role for new and existing business. Handling all operational aspects/queries from Customer, liaising with both external and internal customers and suppliers.
  • To ensure our Customers receive the very best service at all times, in line with what has been agreed, and to ensure a smooth and efficient movement of goods to the Customer.
Operational Duties:-
  • Check that the shipping documents are present/in order
  • Liaise with shipping lines/overseas agents and other forwarding agents
  • Ensuring any queries are resolved as soon as possible
  • Check the options re releases (Line Haul/Merchant Haul/Rail)
  • Arrange releases, PIN numbers and restitution
  • Process shipment approvals ensuring the customer’s vessel schedule requirements are met wherever possible, and that cargo is shipped in the most cost-effective way for the Company thereafter
  • Responsible for handling new business accounts and ensuring that new clients receive the best and most positive impression of the Company from the outset
  • General Administration
  • Telephone work
  • Cover for other members of the team during busy periods
