Job Description

A Groundworks/Earthworks Foreman/woman is required for a well known large project in Dartford.Typical duties are set out below

  • Maintaining high standards in environmental awareness and behaviour.
  • Understanding of consents and third parties agreements
  • Key involvement in preparing programme of site activities, plan labour and plant resources and histograms.
  • Establishing close working relationship with the supervisory staff to ensure the cost-effective management of labour and plant.
  • Establishing, maintaining and monitoring workforce, plant and material resources in accordance with Bottom-Up Forecast and Programme.
  • Ensure delivery tickets for materials and plant are properly coded and passed on from supervisors to engineering team to process.
  • Driving quality delivery through effective planning and right first time delivery. Leading, supervising and mentoring Supervisors, Gangers and workforce, and other team members.
  • Ensure Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental documents haven been briefed to all workforce related to the specific work and ensure safety regulation are being followed at all times.
  • Resolve and manage workforce issues (personal or not) and any conflict raised during the completion of a job.
  • Secure supplies, materials and equipment for daily work projects.

  • Strong experience in Road Tunnels (15 years plus ideally)
  • Sound Commercial Awareness
  • Excellent communication & negotiation skills
  • High levels of organisational skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines
