Job Description

Fire Safety OfficerLocation -DA2 Full time 37.5hrs per weekTemp booking - 3 monthsMy client, a healthcare provider, are looking for an experienced Fire SafetyOfficer to deliver the provision of a comprehensive and effective fire safety service.Key responsibilities

  • Ensure there is compliance with all regulatory provisions regarding fire safety in all Trust owned or operated properties.
  • Conduct a program of fire risk assessments to the standard of appropriate fire and building safety regulations and making sure that clear, accurate records are maintained of these.
  • Ensure that all areas have local plans in place detailing the actions they must take in the event of a fire, making sure that these are reviewed regularly and fully understood by staff.
  • Conduct a comprehensive program of fire drills to ensure staff preparedness.
  • Investigate all incidents of fires and fire alarm actuations.
  • Formulate and deliver a suitable program of fire safety training to a workforce of approximately 4500 staff.
  • Identifying the most suitable providers for andpurchasing relevant required equipment to meet needs of compliancy regarding Fire Risk Assessments.
The successful candidate will need:
  • Previous experience in a Fire Safety Officer role within a healthcare setting.
  • Experience of preparing and delivering training courses.
  • The ability to be flexible with working patterns (not often, but sometimes an evening/weekend shift)
  • A full UK drivers licence.
