Job Description

Are you a Finance Assistant who wants to progress their careerDo you want to learn from and be part of from a great companyThen this could be the role for you!I am pleased to be working with a great client of mine who are looking for a Finance Assistant to join their team and grow with the company. My clientprovides engineering solutions within the public and private sectors. As a Finance Assistant, you will assist with the Purchase Ledger and paying of the supply chain, assist with the timesheet process and support the Finance Manager.Duties:

  • Coding of subcontractor/supplier invoices to the correct nominal ledger code, department code and supplier account.
  • Matching subcontractor/supplier invoices to Purchase Orders.
  • Posting subcontractor/supplier invoices onto Sage 200.
  • Ensure all invoices sent out for authorization are returned in a timely manner.
  • Dealing with supplier invoice queries by phone or written communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assisting in the management of the reconciliation and allocation process of Congestion, Ringo Parking, Dart charges.
  • Reconciliation of monthly supplier statements.
  • Production of weekly timesheet report ensuring all times are accurately reflected.
  • Manage the filing of Purchase Ledger invoices and timesheets.

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Highly competent in analysis and interpretation of information.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, particularly in developing relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Diligent and accurate
  • Excel spreadsheet skills intermediate
  • Sage skills desirable
