The purpose of this role is to ensure the integrity and accuracy of product data held within information systems, ensuring that applications and data are reliable, running efficiently and well managed in order to meet the business needs. The post holderwill also review systems and processes as well as ensuring continuous improvement opportunities are identified.Key ResponsibilitiesWorking cross-departmentally to coordinate the product change management system, ensuring the product technical design enhancements are implemented in a timely manner and in accordance with the relevant regulatory compliance requirements.Managing and maintaining part information throughout the life cycle phase (including Bill of Materials -BOM), providing support for the relevant IT systems used during the manufacturing process. Maintains a database of requested changes to engineering drawings,specifications, BOMs and design control elements.Develops detailed engineering change packages based on the review of various required inputs, initiated electronic workflows within the system, together with collaboration with relevant stakeholders.Performing impact analysis to establish all customers, parts and approvals requiredCleansing and management of current data held within relevant information systems; verifying the accuracy of systems in place to evaluate effectivenessWorking closely with Group IT to ensure that the configuration and usage of IT tools are in compliance with company policies and security protocols.Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks and benchmarking best-practice.Person SpecificationStrong understanding of engineering change management principles with the proven ability to read blueprints, experience with BOM structures and ECOs. Previous experience of working within a manufacturing environment would prove advantageousWorking knowledge of various information systems (ERP/MES) together with MS Office 365, MS Excel and Business Intelligence software is essential. Knowledge of engineering tools and methods; both hardware and software (desirable)Proven ability to deliver value added results and make informed decisions on the basis of cost, efficiency, quality and business needs Successfully manages tasks from concept to completion A creative thinker with the ability to challenge the norm and bring ideas to fruition A proactive and flexible approach with the ability to coach and communicate with others at all levels An analytical and methodical approach with excellent attention to detail and the ability to problem solveThe ability to operate and thrive within a fast paced environment whilst working well under pressureEducated to Degree level within a relevant field or proven experience within a similar role
