Job Description

About our clientOur client is a global leader in superior facade access solutions, who are looking for a key member of the projects team to commission, test, maintain, service and on occasions Install BMU systems across the groups UK territory.Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:Carry out maintenance, fault-find, repair, installation, test & inspections, commissioning, familiarisation, surveys and technical support tasks on all BMU systems across the Groups UK territory in accordance with requirements, both external and internal.Provide troubleshooting, maintenance and repair, including preventative actions; covering all types of faults, mechanical and electrical equipment and accessories.Take ownership and responsibility for developing the performance at nominated projects to exceed customers expectations.Fully complete all required documentation, accurately, legibly and timely, including but not limited to service sheets, timesheets, site reports, plant commissioning reports, surveys etc.In all activities, work in accordance with the Groups UK policies, procedures, work instructions, Safe Systems of Work, product manuals, training received and best company practice.Operate as a professional representative of the Group, demonstrated for example through personal appearance, condition of vehicles, driving behaviour and behaviour on our customers sites and elsewhere.Adhere to all applicable policies and procedures whilst operating on customer premises and sites.As a member of a customer-focussed delivery team and in accordance with business demands, with reasonable notice, be responsive to work additional hours, both weekday and weekend, and on occasions to work and stay away from home.Participate if required in the Groups UKs emergency out of hours standby rota.Identify, support and lead continuous improvements in Groups UKs operations and processes with a specific focus on the safety, quality, customer experience and efficiency of the field operations.Participate in developing the competence of the field engineering team as a recipient of training and development and support the development of other members of the field team and of the Company and Group as a whole. This includes taking active participationin the company performance review process.Fulfil employee responsibilities as defined in the companys Integrated Business Management SystemSupport the development of, and work in accordance with, the companys Integrated Business Management System, encompassing Quality, Health & Safety and Environmental policies and procedures.Support growth of the Business Area through excellent communication and relationship building with all key stakeholders (customers, group employees, suppliers etc.) to, operating inline and promoting the Groups brand values.When workloads dictate, undertake other field or workshop-based tasks appropriate to skills and experience as requested by the senior management team.Requirements for the role:Qualified electricianDegree / HND qualified desirableIT literateExperience of PLC control systemsCSCS or equivalent safety card2 years plus Industry experience within an engineering installationAbility to liaise and manage all site documentationAttention to detailAbility to multitask and work under pressureStrong interpersonal and organisational skillsPride in the quality and presentation of workExcellent communication skillsPlease note that a company van is not provided in this role but travel is paid for and there is a pool van available to all engineers.
