Job Description

Our Client is a Chemical Supplier to the UK Manufacturing Industry. They are now seeking a Quality Administrator. This position will be office based in Daresbury, Cheshire and is a full-time permanent role.Job Purpose

  • For an initial 3-6 month period the role will be predominantly focused on Brexit compliance.
  • To ensure that specific processes are followed accurately and efficiently for the import of all bulk and packed products from Europe that are subject to Brexit protocol.
  • The completion and monitoring of specific quality related projects
  • Key Objectives
  • Working with the Office Manager and Logistics Coordinator to ensure that all product imports are compliant with Brexit protocol.
  • To ensure that there is minimal disruption during the import of bulk and packed stock to enable us to meet our site/customer expectations.
  • Lead, complete and monitor quality projects on a weekly basis.
  • Key Responsibilities
  • The completion and distribution of Brexit related documents that are essential for the import of goods during Brexit.
  • Input of data into Brexit related systems that will enable the successful import of goods.
  • Liaising with and providing the necessary information to customs agents, hauliers and suppliers as required for effective and efficient import of goods.
  • Assess and maintain the supplier approval database through liaison with the supplier base.
  • Assisting in other areas of compliance such as UK REACh.
  • To become an Internal Auditor and audit business processes in line with the business matrix.
  • Customer Specification Management - Ensure control for all specs sent out for new customers and updates to existing customers.
  • Source, construct and distribute all LTSD’s when required.
  • Customer Complaint - Investigation and responses for complaints logged on system.
  • Purchase Ledger - Help with investigations into queries relating to purchase orders.
  • Demurrage investigations relating to haulage associated costs.
  • The running of individual mandatory reports that need to be reviewed as a business.
  • The scanning of stock, transportation, sundry documentation into the document management system.
  • The Processing of stock and haulage purchase orders.
  • Assist in the return of stock and ensure processes are being followed.
  • Customer OTIF - Working with sales team on a daily basis - Running reports and putting corrective actions in place.
  • Supplier OTIF - Working with Stock and Transport to run and analyse how our suppliers are performing.
  • Qualifications and Experience
  • GCSE Level or equivalent essential / A-level desired
  • Accurate in a fast-paced environment, whilst capable of dealing with multiple demands
  • An understanding of commercial quality and attention to detail is critical
  • An interest in chemical compliance and the completion and monitoring of specific quality related projects is essential
  • A good understanding of how stock and haulage functions operate is desirable
  • Previous role with a need for Brexit understanding is an advantage
  • Work experience in a similar role is desirable
  • Organisational skills for the role are very important and there will be a need to time manage workload in a busy environment.
  • Effective problem solver. IT literate, and with good administrative skills.
