Job Description

We have a current temporary opportunity for a Welfare Benefits Adviser based in Midlothian.This is an excellent role within a progressive organisation for someone who has welfare benefits/money advice experience. You will be supporting the housing team to deliver a high quality advice and income maximisation service.The main duties of the role are:

  • Provide a person centred, well informed, high quality welfare advice service
  • To represent clients at Appeal Tribunals, where appropriate
  • Work with internal staff and partner organisations to support tenancy sustainment.
  • Ensure up to date knowledge of changes in Benefits and continuing professional practice
  • Provide reports on work as required
The organisation work a 4 day week where there office is closed on a Friday. You will work a hybrid model between Mon - Thur.To be considered for this role you must have experience with Welfare Benefits or Money Advice and have excellent communication skills.
