Supervised Study Manager/Mentor required for an Outstanding School in Barking and Dagenham.We are looking for an enthusiastic 6th Form Supervised Study Manager / Mentor to join a committed staff team. The 6th Form is very highly regarded, heavily oversubscribed and enjoys strong and improving examination results which are well above local andnational averages.Candidates for this post should be able to motivate and enthuse young people, raise their expectations and help them to work independently to accelerate their progress. The successful candidate will have a key role in supporting the welfare of all studentsand will have a more specific role mentoring identified students.We require a candidate who is:
  • Well-organised and methodical; able to prioritise effectively and manage their workload independently
  • Able to relate well to students of all abilities, other staff, parents and carers and to liaise effectively with them
  • Able to supervise groups of students as well as individuals
  • Able to support and direct students to appropriate sources of help and guidance
  • Proactive, self-motivated, energetic and enthusiastic
  • Willing to liaise with subject staff regarding suitable resources and materials for students to use
