We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an Anaerobic Digestion Site Operative to work within ReFood’s site based in Dagenham. You will join us on a full-time basis, working an average of 42 hours per week (12 hour shifts - days and nights), on a 4 on / 4 off shift pattern. In return as our AD Site Operative, you will receive a competitive salary plus benefits.The ReFood AD plants operate as integrated recycling units, processing a variety of food wastes to produce renewable energy, heat and ReGrow, a nutrient-rich fertiliser for local farms. The plants also recycle the food waste packaging. The plants provide an environmentally sustainable solution for all waste producers looking for a safe method of diverting food waste from landfill.As our ADSite Operative your duties and responsibilities will include:- Assisting Management in controlling and coordinating the safe and efficient operation of the ReFood operation in accordance with management instructions, Health & Safety and Legislative requirements- Operating the mobile plant in a safe and efficient manner, in accordance with Group Policies and Procedures- Ensuring that the facility, its plant and equipment are maintained and cleaned as specified- Working in accordance with staff rosters and the provision of cover for planned / unplanned absence- Undertaking any other duties reasonably requested by the ReFood Management TeamWhat are we looking for in our ADSite Operative- Have the ability to handle raw material. Some heavy lifting may be required- Be able to work on your own or as part of a team with minimal supervision- Have the ability to undertake, process and quality check raw material and associated paperwork and perform basic lab tests- Have a keen eye for detail, be flexible, practical, hardworking and able to work under own initiative- A Forklift Truck License would be advantageousClosing Date: 22nd February 2021If you would like to join us as our ADSite Operative, then apply now.
