Plant Fitter - Dagenham The role of a Plant Fitter will involve the following:TO ENSURE ALL PLANT AND EQUIPMENT IS SERVICED, MAINTAINED AND KEPT IN GOOD WORKING ORDER ALONG WITH ENSURING ACCURATE RECORDS ARE KEPT AND MAINTAINED. ADHERING TO COMPANY AND SAFETY SITE RULES AT ALL TIMES.1. To assist in organising plant & materials and maintain stores keeping a tidy well planned Yard.2. To ensure gas torches as recorded / serviced and in good working order3. To Maintain/service asphalt mixers, rubber melters, bitumen pots, asphalt pots, any compressors or generators if applicable including on site call outs.4. To ensure all portable appliances and electrically safe, PAT tested in accordance to company specifications and / or site regulations.5. Load and unload vehicles using fork lift truck.6. Purchase spare parts for plant.7. Provide and maintain safe operating manuals for rubber melting mixers.8. Assist in training operatives in the safe operation of rubber melters.9. Assist in providing and maintaining safe operating manuals for asphalt melters.10. Assist in training operatives in the safe use of asphalt mixers and bitumen products.11. Ensure all plant in in good, safe working order before they are on site eg pre-site reports.12. Aid with logistical distribution of mixers for all branches.13. Ensure all inspections, repairs and maintenance is recorded using the company app.14. Must be articulate, numerate and demonstrate competence in plant fitting, Driving license essential.15. Ensure ALL FORS requirements are met, this includes but is not limited to paperwork & training.16. Ensure all Risk Assessments and safety requirements are adhered to at all times.17. Maintain a good working relationship with both our operatives and Office staff members. 18. Attend in house quarterly safety meetings as required. 19. Maintain Health and Safety on site.Experience and Qualifications MUST include:• Adaptability/Business, Awareness/Detail, Handling/Initiative/Planning andOrganising Plant/Safety/Communication.• Working Knowledge of the flat roof industry preferable.• Experience of the building and construction industry would be beneficial• Experience of working within a FORS accredited company, understanding of FORS• Good knowledge of Driving in and around the City of London essential.• General computer awareness, word / excel. • Fork lift licence.• CSCS Beneficial.
