Job Description

Medical ReceptionistYour World Healthcare are currently recruiting for an experienced Medical Receptionist/Administrator/equivalent with experience of using EMIS Web (NHS patient management database) to join our healthcare clients team based in East London as a Medical Receptionistto assist in the smooth, efficient, and effective running of their service.Location: Barking & Dagenham, East LondonPosition Type: TemporaryDuration of Assignment: Expected to last for up to 1 month, however, possibly may be longerHours per week:Monday to Friday - Various shifts patterns to include 8.15am - 13.00pm or 14.00pm -18.30pmHourly Pay Rate:£10.69 PAYE Inclusive of holiday pay or £12.10 UmbrellaStart Date:ASAPOverview of Responsibilities

  • To be responsible for working on the front desk of our clients practice, meeting and greeting patients in a courteous manner, assisting with any general day to day queries in person, via telephone and email.
  • Book. reschedule, and cancel patient appointments as and when required
  • Answer incoming calls and deal with patient related queries effectively
  • Update patient files accurately via Emis Web promptly, ensuring to pay close attention to detail
  • Log patient information accurately, regarding appointments, referalls and more as required
  • Text patients to remind them of appointments when needed
  • Communicate with and work alongside non-clinical and clinical staff within the practice, to ensure a smooth running of service
  • Any other duties that may be reasonably be required by the appropriate manager
.Person Specification - Experience and Skills
  • Experienced Medical Receptionist/Administrator/ equivalent within relevant NHS, GP Surgery or Medical Practice experience
  • Knowledge of EMIS Web (Essential)
  • Good administrative skills with attention to detail
  • Experience of dealing directly with patients
  • Competent usage of MS Office Applications including excel, word, outlook
  • Proactive with a flexible approach
  • Experience of working as part of a team and independently
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Great level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Appropriate handling of sensitive/confidential information
Requirements:To commence employment as an Medical Receptionistvia Your World Healthcare, if successful; you must be fully registered and compliant via Your World Healthcare in the first instance. To become compliant, you will need to:
  • Complete full work registration via Your World Healthcare (prior to commencing employment)
  • Hold a clean valid enhanced DBS certificate issued within the last 12 months or a valid DBS currently registered with the update service (if held by a third party). If you do not yet hold a clean valid enhanced DBS certificate issued within the last 12months or a valid certification of a DBS registered with the update service (with photographic evidence of this) - you will be required to apply for a new DBS as part of your application via Your World Healthcare. This can be applied as part of the full workregistration process
  • Provide a minimum of 2x professional employment/educational references covering the last 3 years where applicable
  • Complete mandatory online training modules required by our healthcare client to commence employment successfully. (Please note: This will be set up via Your World Recruitment as part of your registration process)
