Job Description

Are you an experienced Learning Support Assistant seeking a rewarding challenge in the vibrant educational landscape of Barking and Dagenham primary schoolsAcademics is currently seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant for a full-time position in Barking and Dagenham, specifically in the Dagenham area. This permanent role entails providing invaluable support to a Year 5 pupil, commencing in January.Applications must be submitted by mid-day on 24th November to be considered.We are seeking a Learning Support Assistant with recent experience within Barking and Dagenham, ensuring familiarity with local referral processes and CAMHS. While experience with Key Stage 2 and personal care is preferred, it is not mandatory.Situated in close proximity to Dagenham East and Dagenham Dock stations, this thriving primary school offers convenient accessibility for commuters. The successful candidate will join a school rated "Good" in their last inspection (2019), enjoying a permanentrole with a salary ranging from £18,500 - £20,800 FTE, depending on experience.Applicants must possess:

  • Experience supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
  • Child Workforce DBS (preferably on the update service)
  • Two recent school-based references
  • Right to work in the UK
