Job Description

Rutherford Briant have the pleasure of assisting a high end luxury retailer secure a Data & Systems Architect. Working closely with the Finance team the role will be instrumental in shaping the future of the systems and data for the business.This a fantastic opportunity to flex your skills and map out the best processes, set up data warehousing and lead the business to a more technology focused way of working. The business is currently going through a major restructure, the role will involveappraising, designing and implementing data warehousing, building the strategy and overlaying BI reports for all departments. The key to success will be listening to the needs of the departments and creating effective solutions for them to utilise the data.Responsibilities:

  • Identify, implement and drive commercial improvements through your insights.
  • Design and deliver in-house data warehouse linking to our ERP solution Microsoft Business Central (BC)
  • ETL processing on integrations with core systems and third party applications
  • Overlay BI tools and help develop dashboards for the business areas along with an overnight reporting to key users
  • Provide data cleansing protocols for all incoming data where it is required.
  • Working with the senior management team on driving the business strategy
  • Provide insight and guidance on all systems architecture and business requirements
  • Overseeing maintenance of infrastructure with our 3rd party IT support team
  • Oversee and maintain infrastructure of BC with our 3rd party consultants
  • Ensure BC projects are mapped and delivered to expectations, seeking continuous improvement.
  • Working with the wider business to enhance the companies data and reporting
  • Assisting in sourcing applications for the wider business
  • Maintain and oversee cloud based server usage
  • Oversee data governance and GDPR management
  • Define and deliver training to the wider business on use of the systems
  • SQL database querying and adhoc analysis
Skills:
  • Organised, thorough and excited by a challenge youll work well in a busy and fast moving retail environment
  • 5 to 10 years excellent SQL knowledge working and building databases
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Range
  • Proficient in BI tools - Power PI, Tableau or similar
  • Good at prioritising workload to meet requirements and tight deadlines
  • Good communication skills & able to effectively work with members of both the immediate and wider team, at varying levels
  • Highly motivated and hard-working with a professional attitude who is able to work under pressure in a faced paced environment.
  • Experience of working in an online environment
  • Experience in using ERP systems
  • A wider general knowledge of systems and infrastructure
