Job Description

Exciting Opportunity: Computer Science Teacher!Are you passionate about computer science and eager to ignite the curiosity of young minds We are seeking a dynamic and knowledgeable Computer Science Teacher to join our esteemed faculty at a leading secondary school in Dagenham.

  • Deliver engaging and comprehensive computer science lessons that inspire students interest in the subject.
  • Foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment where all students can excel.
  • Teach a range of topics, including programming languages, algorithms, and systems architecture.
  • Implement effective teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles.
  • Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and devise individualized learning plans.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the development of the computer science curriculum.
  • Monitor and track student performance, ensuring academic targets are met.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with parents/guardians to discuss student progress.
  • Actively participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions, and school events.
Requirements:
  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent, specializing in computer science.
  • In-depth knowledge of computer science principles, programming languages, and technologies.
  • Experience teaching computer science at the secondary level (Years 7-11) is preferred.
  • Strong passion for the subject and a commitment to staying up-to-date with advancements in the field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with students and colleagues.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students, fostering a love for computer science.
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management abilities.
