Job Description

We are currently looking for an Area Contracts Manager to join our friendly Catering and Cleaning Team. The successful candidate will manage, lead and develop a multi service operations teams; utilising appropriate strategies to ensure that all aspects ofservice delivery are managed in the delivery of services to schools, public and private sector clients. To manage the delivery of services across a group of client sites and be responsible for ensuring efficient and effective delivery of services to clients,delivering to service and customer KPIs.About UsBD Group was created by the London Borough of Barking & Dagenham to create positive economic, environmental and social change.   • Educated to degree level in hospitality, leisure, events or catering or obtained equivalent experience.
  • Management qualification – Level 5 i.e. CMI or ILM (desirable).
  • Relevant qualification in food standard / quality / food safety.
  • Full UK Driving Licence (as travel is required for the role).
Experience
  • Demonstrable management experience in a large-scale catering and hospitality operation.
  • Experience of preparing, analysing & managing budgets.
  • Experience of delivery high quality services demonstrating quality standards and high food standards.
  • Experience of performance management and developing high performing teams focused on delivery excellent services to customers/clients.
  • Experience of developing mobilising new contracts and developing excellent relationships with customers.
  • Experience of delivering services in highly competitive, commercial and price sensitive markets.
  • Demonstrable success as a credible and confident leader.
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced environment and prioritising workload and working well under pressure.
Skills and Abilities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire, motivate individuals and teams.
  • Excellent analytical skills with thorough attention to detail.
  • Ability to develop trusted partnerships customers.
  • Excellent IT skills, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Microsoft Teams
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Working Arrangements
  • Full-time (36 hours per week), Monday to Friday.
