Job Description

PMP Recruitment is currently seeking experienced Trimmers to work based at one of our well-established clients in the Cwmbran area.Working hours:6am-2.30pm2:30pm-11pmHourly rates:AM and PM rotated £13.86Time & Third - OT £15.36Time & Half - OT £17.33Double Time - OT £23.10Job SummaryTo trim and assemble to drawings, process layout and work instructions and complete work packages in allocated time and to the right quality standard.Key Responsibilities and Duties Check goods supplied with kits, comply with drawings and or bill of material (visual) before assembly Trim and assemble in accordance with build instructions Use tool jigs and fixtures to provide correct assembly Ensure the highest standard of quality products Maximise the use of materials and processes Complete all relevant documentation prior to inspection Recommend process improvements to improve process, methods quality and cost performance Communicate effectively Undergo all training requirements necessary to perform work tasks effectively Be prepared to be flexible as work activities change dailyEssential:

  • A good academic standard of education (Ideally 5 GCSEs) or previous experience gained in a similar or related manufacturing environment.
  • Upholstery experience work with leathers and fabrics.
  • Excellent hand skills and dexterity with all tools normally associated with the trade.
  • Ability to work to a high standard with a wide variety of covering materials, particularly leather.
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision.
  • Dextrous, quality-conscious, with a keen eye for detail.
Desirable:
  • Previous experience within aircraft/automotive sectors.
  • Experience in the use of industrial adhesives.
  • Trim experience with various materials including leather, schneller.
