Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative manufacturing business as a Service Desk Analyst .Client DetailsMy client is an international manufacturer looking for a Service Desk Analyst to become an integral part of their team. They are looking for a great communicator who can speak directly to the customers, respond to their enquiries, assess their problems andissues and help provide the most accessible solutions to resolve their issues. The successful applicant would join them on a full time basis, the role is Cwmbran based but is also very open to hybrid working.DescriptionThe successful Service Desk Analyst will:

  • Communicate directly with the customer, receiving and handling requests for support.
  • Diagnose and resolve problems accurately making sure they are logged correctly and either closed successfully or escalated appropriately to 2nd Line support teams
  • Investigate causes of incidents and seeks resolution, analysing complex problem situations to determine underlying causes and helping users to recover or continue operation.
  • Respond to a broad range of service requests for support by providing information to fulfil requests or enable resolution.
  • Seek to improve process & procedures
  • Use judgement to set priority for resolution, monitor progress and apply escalation procedures for unresolved incidents, ensuring that documentation of supported components is available and accessible to all who need to use it.
  • Ensures that all IT service incidents are managed according to Company policy
ProfileThe successful Service Desk Analyst will possess:
  • Ability to manage and prioritise stakeholder expectations at all levels ranging from end user up to C-level
  • An ability to communicate complex technical/database related issues to business users
  • An ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a dynamic and flexible approach, as well as the ability to work under pressure
  • A collaborative approach to delivery working with various technical and business departments.
  • Good working knowledge of data extraction, data modelling and data reporting techniques
  • Ability to adapt to a range of operating systems including Microsoft Windows10
  • Productive in a cloud-based environment.
  • Working knowledge of a range of diagnostic utilities.
Job OfferWhats on offer for the successful Service Desk Analyst:£30,000 - £35,000 dependent on experience plus benefits, including:
