Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and play a key role in driving the future of sustainable transportation Look no further than Meritor, where we are seeking anElectric Powertrain Test Laboratory Technician to join our team in Cwmbran!Keyresponsibilities:The setup of eAxle test samples on test rigs in preparation for test

  • The assembly and setup of eAxles on test vehicles in preparation for testing on the test track and public highways
  • Support vehicle test programs, offsite, at test track and other remote locations
  • The Assembly of eAxle test specimens in preparation for test
  • Strip down test samples post-test to identify failure modes
  • The interpretation and implementation of test request instructions from engineering test plans
  • The configuration and set up of test rig control systems in preparation for test
  • The Monitoring of ongoing eAxle tests.
  • The delivery of test data to the eAxle engineering department.
  • The Maintenance and repair eAxle test rigs
Who are we look for
  • Engineering technical Apprenticeship
  • Experience in Commercial vehicle systems and axle build an advantage
  • Computer literate and knowledge of technical software packages
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrate creative thinking and problem solving capability
