Job Description

Are you looking to work for a well established, global organisation Do you want to move away from payroll processing to focus on the reporting / analytical side of payroll Is a great company culture important to you This role could be for you!I’m continuing to partner with a market leading, global organisation who is looking for a skilled payroll professional to join them in their Cwmbran office asap! This role will be varied and will include managing the day to day function of the department, leadingon improvement projects and delivering timely and accurate payroll reports and analytics. Their payroll currently is 900 employees but they are looking to increase their headcount over the next few years!Although a large corporate organisation, they have maintained an excellent company culture which is friendly and supportive, and alongside working with a great team, they also offer:

Responsibilities include:
  • Management of a team of 3
  • Building and maintaining a strong relationship with the outsourced payroll team
  • Preparation of payroll- HMRC submissions, pension administration, third party payments, statutory payments etc
  • Year-end preparation- P11Ds, P60s, P30s, tax year end, class 1A etc
  • Working with HR and the Payroll team to suggest and implement improvements to the payroll system and processes
  • Balance and reconcile payroll
  • Manage the pension scheme including RTI reports
  • Provide support and guidance to staff- managing payroll queries including tax related queries
  • Manage global assignments
  • Calculate and manage the salary sacrifice schemes
  • Providing training to the HR and Payroll teams on the system and any new system processes
Person specification:
  • CIPP qualified
  • Strong payroll manager experience working for a large organisation (Desirable- a global group)
  • Experience working on large payrolls 900+
  • Desirable- experience working with an outsourced team
  • Management experience
  • Strong systems and Excel skills
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills
