Job Description

Group Financial AccountantNewport- Hybrid 45,000 - 50,000 DOE + Benefits Quinton Davies is pleased to be representing a market leading client for the requirement a Financial Accountant to join their established finance team in NewportResponsibilities

  • Supporting other members of the finance team with IFRS 16 lease accounting reporting and review
  • Day to day maintenance of the central group company books and Management Accounts
  • Management of daily group cash flow and treasury.
  • Assisting with the onboarding of acquired companies
  • Supporting year end, interim and external financial reporting processes
  • Accurately preparing statutory accounts for subsidiary entities
  • Assisting with companywide audit
  • Manage internal audit processes
  • Liaising with external auditors, advisors, senior management and other members of finance
  • Developing and improving adequate processes for internal and external reporting needs
  • Develop group financial policies and procedures
  • Supporting on an ad hoc basis Finance related projects or resolving technical IFRS queries as required
Skills and experience required
  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified (or equivalent experience)
  • Proven technical accounting experience across statutory accounting and reporting, and proven audit experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Proven stakeholder relationship management experience
  • Excellent Excel skills
