Female Support Worker - Part TimeCwmbran, TorfaenAbout UsMaximising potential for over 20 years, Westcountry Case Management provides a specialist case management service that helps individuals recruit their own support workers. We have just been rated as Outstanding in our recent CQC inspection.Our ambition is to inspire clients, their relatives and professionals alike by consistently attaining excellent outcomes; supporting people with compassion and kindness.We are looking for a Female Support Worker to support our client, a young lady in her early twenties, on a part-time basis.The Benefits- Salary of £10 per hour- Work directly for the end service user and not an agency- Make a positive lasting difference to a young woman’s life- Statutory benefitsThe RoleAs a Female Support Worker, you will help to provide care to our client, a young lady with severe learning difficulties.Our client is physically independent but needs support with all areas of daily living, including transport to and from college, self-care, household, vocational and leisure activities, and socialising. She lives with her family in a home that has been adapted to meet her needs.This is a part-time role, working 16 hours per week that consist of:- 5 x 2 hour shifts, 7:30am - 9:30am on weekdays- 2 x 3 hours shifts, 3:00pm - 6:00pm on weekdaysAbout YouTo be considered as a Female Support Worker, you’ll need:- Previous care experience- To be registered with, or working towards registration with, Social Care Wales- To hold a recognised Health and Social Care qualification (NVQ Level 2 or a Diploma) or have completed the All Wales Induction Framework, or be willing to complete this within 6 months of starting if successful- A full driving licence (as you’ll be driving our client to and from college)Please note, only female applicants will be considered for this role due to the nature of personal care involved.
