Job Description

PMP Recruitment is recruiting CNC Machine Operators with experience within the automotive/manufacturing sectors to join our client located in the Cwmbran area.ILocation:CwmbranShift Patterns and Hourly rate:Monday till Friday, AM and PM Rotation or Nights Regular6am-2pm £15.282pm-10pm £15.2810pm-6am £16.55Skills/Experience:

  • Previous experience of operating CNC machines is essential
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing/automotive industry
  • Experience in working in a medium/high volume production environment
  • Understanding of quality systems and completing quality checks/gauging
  • Attention to details is essential
  • Able to work with minimal supervision.
Duties:
  • Loading and unloading machines and movement of parts
  • Adjust machine tools, tip changes, tool offsets to ensure the product meets the required specification
  • Responsible for monitoring product quality via visual inspection and/or via gauge measurement
  • Monitor and record production output vs target and record any downtime and rejects
  • Carry out daily machining checks
  • Maintaining a safe and clean working environment at all times
  • Participate in continuous improvement activities to improve productivity, quality and machine availability
  • Download program from the file server
  • Ability to use a wide range of IMTE to facilitate inspection of completed components
  • Setup and run CNC machining centres
  • Prove out new NPI programs
  • Use Verniers and other inspection equipment to meet tolerance requirements stipulated in engineering drawings
