Job Description

Automotive Test Technician Torfaen21781/617£29,472 - £30,895 plus bonus, pension and more A world-renowned business who specialises in the supply of high-quality components into the automotive industry are currently looking to recruit an Automotive Test Technician. This business are developing evolutionary and revolutionary solutions to the industry,launching more than 20 new products in the last couple of years. As an Automotive Test Technician, you will be responsible for the assembly and set up of test procedures, monitoring test progress, recording test data etc.Role & Responsibilities:

  • The setup of test samples on test rigs in preparation for test
  • Support test programs, offsite, at test track and other remote locations
  • The Assembly of test specimens in preparation for test
  • Strip down test samples post-test to identify failure modes
  • The interpretation and implementation of test request instructions from engineering test plans
  • The configuration and set up of test rig control systems in preparation for test
  • The delivery of test data to the engineering department.
  • The Maintenance and repair of test rigs
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
  • Engineering technical Apprenticeship
  • HNC in mechanical engineering or equivalent
  • Experience in the automotive industry
  • Experience in product testing
Benefits Package:
  • A starting salary of between £29,472 - £30,895
  • Annual bonus - 5%
  • Company pension scheme - company will match up to 6%
