Job Description

Salary £28-£30k, working standard days 8am to 5.00pm with 12 midday finish on a Friday, includes 26 days holiday+ bank holidays, enhanced pension, profit related bonus and other benefits.Job Title:Maintenance Mechanical EngineerResponsible to:Maintenance SupervisorReporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you are responsible for ensuring plant, equipment and premises are in a safe condition and operating effectively. Working to agreed plans on either preventative, planned or breakdowns,thus ensuring safe and efficientoperations of the sites facilities.Maintenance personnel are tasked with the upkeep of grounds, plant, machinery, general infrastructure.The position requires anindividual who enjoys the challenge of troubleshooting and correcting mechanical issues. A willingness to work when and where needed and when emergency maintenance or safety activities are required. This may entail out-of-hours calloutworking.Duties

  • Planned, reactive & preventative maintenance (PPM)
  • Industrial pipe fitting and installation
  • Breakdown repair, installation, rebuild, refurbish, & service
  • Hydraulic maintenance & repairs
  • Pneumatic pipe fitting and installation
  • Reading, developing & following pipe work drawings
  • Welding experience
  • Plumbing
  • Liaise with departmental supervision to support them in maintenance and safety-related matters
  • When working with maintenance contractors assist in them carrying out their work in a timely, safe and efficient manner
  • Is responsible for supporting all aspects of site safety
Required Education
  • Industrial pipe work
  • Pneumatic qualifications
  • Welding qualifications
  • Apprenticeship trained in mechanical maintenance or level 3 qualified
Required ExperienceExperience introubleshooting and correcting mechanical problems is essential.A good knowledge of maintenance methods and equipment to support the Companys manufacturing processes.Experience in commercial and industrial pipe work installations is essential. Previous experience in project planning, although not essential, would be preferred.Computer literacy is essential.Good communication skills are essential. The job holder must communicate with all employees at all levels within the Company supporting contractors and external agencies.Proven track record of working well within a maintenance team.Collaborating within a team and with others. Focussing on providing an excellent service for all departments within the company.INDG
