Job Title: TIG WelderSector: Aerospace, Manufacturing & EngineeringSalary: £31,877 p.a including Shift Location: Sheffield, South Yorkshire, UKContract: Full-time, Mornings & Afternoons, PermanentAre you an experienced TIG welder with a passion for Aerospace engineeringVerus Recruitment Partners are pleased to be supporting a South Yorkshire based leading international aerospace manufacturer, supporting the Recruitment of a TIG welding operative on a full-time basis due to continued growth and projects.As a self-motivated welder, you will be experienced in the fabrication and assembly of components using manual TIG Welding Techniques alongside operating semi-automated Welding machines using specific techniques for aerospace products.You will be responsible for all aspects of the Welding processes, working toefficient standards in a safe and timely manner.Duties:* You will be required to work on semi-automated welding equipment for both Circumferential and Longitudinal welds in addition to performing manual TIG welding for assembly and repairs.* You are required to work to Standard Operations Procedures (SOPs)* To have the ability to understand and interpret technical drawings* To carry out operations to NADCAP and AS9100 standards.* Use the correct tools and equipment for the operation or work, including relevant safety equipment and protective clothing provided.* To continually seek to improve existing working practices and exceed targets and standards set.* To behave in a way that is consistent with the organisations competencies and the expectations for the role through:* Complying with organisational policies, procedures and working practices.* Complying with Company Health & Safety standards by developing a personal concern for the safety of themselves and others.* Carrying out any other duties as deemed appropriate for the role.About You:* A proven track record in welding is essential - ideally 5 years or more within Aerospace.* Experience with semi-automated Welding would be an advantage.* Experience inspecting welds would be an advantage.* Basic understanding of lean principles (5S)* Ability to understand and interpret drawings.* Keen eye for detail.* Excellent team work ethic.Whats in it for you* A fantastic package with a starting salary of £31,877 including a 12.5% shift premium.* Overtime available paid at £22.09 (time and a half)* Working for a fantastic business.* Easy access location close to the M1 with ample parking available.* Generous holiday allowance.* Comprehensive benefits package including flexibility to buy and sell holidays, Company bonus scheme, Salary Sacrifice car scheme, access to wellbeing resources and discounts via Bravo benefits, and Pension-matched employer/employee scheme. * Christmas shutdown.* Mornings and Afternoon shift pattern.For more information please contact our Sheffield Team on .***Verus Recruitment Partners are acting as a Recruitment Agency in relation to this vacancy and is an Equal Opportunities Employer***Keywords: TIG, Aerospace, Engineering, Manufacturing.
