Job Description

Job Title: Locum PharmacistLocation: CrumlinBusiness Entity: BF MulhollandPurpose of Role:Locum Pharmacist needed to work in a private internet based aesthetic pharmacy setting when products are sent directly to other healthcare professionals. The job requires the pharmacist to legally and clinically check private prescriptions for aesthetic products, to dispense these and package then for delivery via a courier.Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Legally check prescriptions against registration bodies portals and company accounts information to ensure an ethical and legal supply of POMs is made
  • To clinically check private prescriptions, label and maintain the PMR
  • Accurately dispense and packaging drugs for delivery via the courier
  • To act as the Responsible Pharmacist when required and maintain the legal register and duties involved in this daily role
  • Pharmacist are required to ensure that original scripts are received into pharmacy and are retained for records
  • Maintenance of all pharmacy records including but not limited to PMR, RP, Error and near miss logs, returns and destructions
  • To provide advice to other healthcare professionals when required
  • To communicates with and work with the PSNI and Department of Health inspectors when required
  • Ensuring that Medfx make correct and ethical supplies of aesthetic medicines both north and south of the boarder
  • Training of other pharmacy staff, when required
  • Assisting in the wider business when required
    • Standard Company Requirements
  • To comply with all Health and Safety requirements as outlined by the Health and Safety Executive and business.
  • To participate in all relevant quality programmes and assist as required in quality initiatives.
  • To comply with the guidelines of the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) to maintain an awareness and understanding of regulations that apply to the post.
  • Where the role includes any task relating to the purchasing, storage or sales of medicines, an understanding of the principles of Good Distribution Practice (GDP) is required.
  • At all times the post-holder should act in a way that supports the Company in maintaining its essential licences and certifications.
  • To ensure PPE issued by the business is worn in accordance with Health & Safety legislation.
  • Training is undertaken as recommended by your Manager.
  • Carry out any other reasonable request as requested by your Manager.
    • Skills Required:
  • Must be registered with the Pharmaceutical society of Northern Ireland
  • Must have appropriate professional indemnity insurance
  • Must have good time management and prioritisation skills
  • Strong communication skills with both customers and staff
  • An interest in developing the internet pharmacy business
  • An interest in aesthetics is preferable
    • Experience Required:
  • Previous experience as a Pharmacist
  • Previous aesthetic experience preferable
  • Previous warehouse pharmacy/ internet pharmacy experience preferable
  • Previous Managerial experience preferable
    • Qualifications Required:
  • MPharm (or equivalent) in Pharmacy
  • Registration with the PSNI, or be eligible to apply for registration with the PSNI
  • GSCE Maths and English
